Acrobat PDF
Native files (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) are our preference. If you prefer to send PDF files, please note that if any edits or alterations are required, it may not be possible for us to make them. If sending PDFs, please save them using the High Quality Print preset, and make sure you include adequate bleed (.125” for digital printing, .25” for large format) as well as crop marks that are offset the same distance as the bleed.
Large Format
Submit files at 100% of print size when possible. All placed images should be at least 100 DPI at final print size, 150 DPI is preferred for best quality. If you are providing files at a reduced size, please verify that all raster images will be at least 100 DPI at final print size. Example: if files are scaled to half size, the placed images need to be at 200 DPI so when enlarged to final size they will be at 100 DPI.
Digital Printing
Submit files at 100% of print size when possible. All placed images should be at least 300 DPI at final print size. If you are providing files at a reduced size, please verify that all raster images will be at least 300 DPI at final print size. Example: if files are scaled to half size, the placed images need to be at 600 DPI, so when enlarged to final size they will be at 300 DPI.
Matching colors from file to print
Sending low resolution .pdfʼs along with the art files will aid in copy matching on your final prints. Critical color matches like Pantone colors need to be specified with callouts in the file or with an email describing the specific color name, i.e. PMS 300 Blue.
Adding Bleed and Safe Areas
If your design includes elements that extend up to the edge, please include bleed by extending your art an extra .25 inch (largeformat), or .125 inch (digital printing) beyond the final trim size on each side of your file. This will ensure that when the piece is
trimmed, no white border will show at the edges of the piece. If including crop marks on your file, please offset them to match the amount of bleed required (.25” for large format, .125” for digital printing).
Note: please try to keep any important information in your design (names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) within the Safe Area
of .125 inch inside the trim.
