The ownership team behind the well-known downtown sports bar Wheelhouse located on Spruce Street is opening a new concept to St. Louis, Start Bar. It is an arcade bar that will feature pinball machines, Skee-Ball games, and cabinet games. (Think Pac-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Mortal Kombat). But don’t expect bright blinking lights and ball pits. The owners are aiming to strike a fun, more sophisticated note.
This will be more than just a video arcade like used to be in malls that exist no more. There will be drinks, unique beers, different bourbons as well as boozy milkshakes and snow cones. On the food side, the menu will include handmade pizzas, a candy bar, and a snack bar stocked with nostalgic homemade treats. Plan to check out their planned Cheetos marshmallow crispy, whatever that is.
So what does this have to do with SwiftGoBig. We had the pleasure of printing the (3) 85”x125”superwide canvas tapestries that hang from the brick façade. These were not printed on a low quality billboard printer but instead on our photo super wide Oce printer. The entrance to the wash room is even better. You can’t go by it without taking a double take of the guy in the shorts. We printed this 10’ x 8’ wall mural on a super high tac vinyl with a protective laminate so it should last for years under even the most rugged of conditions.
On the second floor atrium there is wall that is 21’w x 8h’. It is now emblazoned with the game console that started it all, the Atari game console printed and installed as a wall graphic to build upon the theme within. It is both art and nostalgia. There are also (2) 33×53 1/2” sintra divider panels that are printed both sides to be hung via a cable mount system. Special thanks to the owners of Start Bar and Atomic Dust for our partnership to bring this all together quickly and efficiently. There are many additional hidden visual and experiential treasures waiting to be enjoyed. Check it out.
