At 1,300 acres, Forest Park is one of the largest parks set in an urban environment in the U.S., surpassing New York’s Central Park by 500 acres. Over the last 10 years restoration efforts have take place at the most iconic areas of the Park — the Grand Basin, the Jewel Box and the World’s Fair Pavilion, just to name a few. Forest Park Forever is in the midst of another round of strategic Park improvements including transforming the neglected Upper Muny Lot into a vibrant Festival & Parking Plaza.
We were asked to give guidance for outdoor signage solutions for a recent event. We looked at many ideas and eventually settled on a nice cost effective outdoor retractable display solution called Thunder. It is a unique outdoor retractable display that that can be used both outdoors and indoors. It has a special spring assembly in the middle allowing it to flex in the wind and also comes with “tie down stakes” for securing on grassy surfaces.
