It was an exciting weekend bringing to life supersized graphics for the 2017 Wyman Gala. What makes this one extra special is doing it for an organization whose goal is to Create Better Lives, Better Leaders and Better Communities. If you are not familiar with their mission it is for sure a heartwarming effort. Their goal is to transform teens and change communities for the better. Their inspired staff help teens find purpose and underprivileged communities achieve potential.
On large projects like this it starts with a walk through and then months of planning and refinements. In this case the location was the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis. The outcome resulted in a unique graphic package starting with large scale graphics gracing an impressive wall of windows as you enter the hotel. As you walk through the hallway to the elevator you see giant circle shaped graphics spotlighting this year’s success stories. The inspiration continues to the elevator doors.
After exiting the elevators you are welcomed at the reception level by big scale graphics celebrating this year’s achievements. The messaging does not stop there. It continues on the walls and windows and columns throughout the event space to reinforce the importance of the ongoing Wyman commitment to improve lives for the better and give hope where it did not previously exist. There was even a special exhibit composed of storyboards printed on brushed aluminum that were hung from up high and front lit to draw attention. Hopefully the photos help compliment the message and inspire others to do the same.
